HAVE FAITH IN GOD
Everything we say will have direct consequences in our lives.
HOLY Job said: "what I was afraid of happened
to me." Surely, after thinking about it, he had to pronounce it. Having
faith in God is a decision that has to be made daily and in every moment of our
lives. Job had taken the tradition of presenting a sacrifice to God under the
assumption: "if his children had sinned." How many times do we act to
consider under assumptions or suspicions? Or, how many times do we say and
decide to act and are not aware of what we do and what we say? What we must
know is: who innocently sins, innocently is condemned. Having faith in God
implies understanding that everything we say carries its fruits. Therefore, if
we bless, we will see the fruits of the blessing. On the other hand, if we
curse, we will unfortunately know the fruits of the curses in our lives.
"Then Peter, remembering, said to him:
Teacher, look, the fig tree that you cursed has dried up."
Mark 11. 21
There are human beings who have a bad habit of
cursing everything. They curse in their homes, they curse in their jobs, they
curse in prosperity, but sooner or later, they will have to account for all
those who expressed. I do not pretend with this writing that Christians are
always talking with the biblical texts for everything, although I sincerely do;
But for something the Apostle Paul said: speaking among yourselves with
psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praising the Lord with your
heart. Christ claimed a fruit from a tree that appeared ready to serve,
but was only stubble. Let us be careful not to be just a few good talkers today
when we are in church and during the week, only curses come out of our mouths.
I mean, let us not be litter.
"Answering Jesus, he said to them: Have
faith in God."
Mark 11. 22
Having faith in God means speaking with wisdom
and understanding. Having faith in God means that we have left an unhealthy way
of life and have clung to faith in the Son of God. We cannot rule out the use
of cursing something so that this stops producing bad fruit in us. For example,
I constantly ask God to curse in my life the fears and insecurities that
sometimes make me yell at my children, because God is the only one who can
curse and definitely, those manifestations of frustration are counterproductive
for my marriage, children and home. I emphasize, I ask God to curse in my life
everything that affects others, my relationship with them and finally the bond
of love with everyone else. So let us be honest with God and with ourselves,
remove from our mind and mouth, words that curse us and expose all those around
us; So let us be agents of change and not messengers of bad news with
everything we say, decide and act.
