WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO TO YOU?
When we need to be treated, we believe we have
the right answers.
WHEN I read Pastor Bill Johnson's book: “Matter of Honour” by Bethel Church, I
learned a very important lesson for my life: sin is only the root fruit of the
real problem. That is, when a person manifests an eating disorder, it is
possibly because he is hiding a self-esteem problem. But what is behind the
lack of love and acceptance that a human being with bulimia or anorexia
manifests? Why does an alcoholic person have to hide behind a drunkenness?
Likewise, what makes an individual need to consume narcotic drugs? For this
reason, I have learned that when I go to minister to a person and even if I see
the branches of his life or situation, I usually ask him what do you want me to
do to you? What do you really want to heal in your life?
“Answering Jesus, he said to him: What do you want me to do to you? And the blind man said to him: Master, let him regain his sight."
Mark 10. 51
The manufacturer of any appliance knows exactly
where an item is going to fail. In the same way, there is no one who knows us
better than God. He knows exactly what is happening to us and why we are
suffering. God is the only one who has the answer for our life, with that and
everything, since God is a gentleman who does not enter where he has not been
invited, he will always ask us: What do you want me to do to you? God knows the
roots of bitterness in our lives! God knows exactly what he is tying us down!
“And Jesus said to him: Go, your faith has
saved you. And immediately he regained his sight and was following Jesus on the
road."
Mark 10. 52
I believe in a miraculous and powerful God and
this God is who I am preaching. We do not need a special campaign of miracles
and deliverance; neither do we need a special preacher or brother who manifests
a gift or charism of healing or miracles. We have in us the Holy Spirit who can
manifest in each one of us if we give him the freedom, he needs to manifest
himself. Right now, in the intimacy that we are, we can access the throne of
God's grace and be free, now ... not tomorrow ... now because with the
sacrifice of Christ it was enough to heal our lives. Just confess to God what
you want him to do to you.
