A WONDERFUL THING
We cannot imagine the wonderful Christological plan of God.
IF we were able to dimension our future, we would
bet on going through the most difficult situations we may experience. God has
the plans of salvation from eternity. At no time does God improvise, he knows
what he has to do in each event of our lives, but he lets us decide. This is
what free will is all about. It is, therefore, that although we do not
understand the sacrifice of Christ, we give ourselves to him voluntarily. Let
us not reject God's plan of salvation through his Son Jesus Christ, but rather
hold fast to him as Lord and Saviour. Unlike the Pharisees, let us accept the
work of Christ on Calvary's Cross for each one of us. It is a marvellous,
incalculable, invaluable, inscrutable work ... where only the Spirit of Christ
can reveal it to us.
“What then will the lord of the vineyard do? He
will come, and destroy the husbandmen, and give his vineyard to others."
Mark 12. 9
Obviously the history of Christianity is linked
to the history of the people of Israel. Therefore, we know that they rejected God
in the past and appointed a king for themselves (read it in Samuel). We can
also add that they rejected God's plan of salvation through Jesus of Nazareth.
Today this eschatological promise given by Jesus Christ has been fulfilled;
This Heavenly Father's vineyard has been given to us Christians, those of us
who accept God's will and hold fast to Jesus Christ as the promise of
salvation.
“Have you not even read this writing: The stone
that the builders rejected Has become the head of the corner; The Lord has done
this, and is it a wonderful thing in our eyes?"
Mark 12. 10-11
Today we are in the era of secularization. God,
the Bible, and a spiritual life are increasingly removed from public
institutions. In many social networks, each time they reject us, close accounts
and cyberbullying us. But, the wonderful work of God, through Jesus Christ
sadly they are missing it. For our part, we must continue to extend the kingdom
of Christ whenever we can, in time and outside of it, because salvation in Christ
is a wonderful work.
