CLOSE TO WISDOM
Between wisdom and knowledge there is not much difference, but they change
the whole world.
WE know many people with great knowledge, but far
from living a wise lifestyle. Wisdom has to do with a special gift, even
divine, in which we put love of God and neighbour first to act and advise in such
a way as Christ would. Almost all my teachings are centerer on: For who
has known the mind of the Lord, to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ
1 Cor. 2.1: 16. Well, having the Mind of Christ is about living wisely. If
today, we act and speak wisely it is because we have understood that this
lifestyle is the best option we have. But, if it is the opposite, today we have
the opportunity to change our lifestyle. Can we imagine a knowledgeable
lifestyle acting wisely? I assure you that we would be unstoppable.
“Jesus then, seeing that he had responded
wisely, said to him: You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no one dared
to ask.”
Mark 12. 34
Obviously, this biblical passage shows us how knowledge can be separated
from wisdom. This Pharisee was very close to the truth and shared as the Son of
God and could not recognize it. Contrary to what happened with Joseph of
Arimathea, Nicodemus, Jairus and many other Pharisee leaders who knew how to
live wisely applying biblical and human knowledge that led them to recognize
the love of God that was manifested through his Son Jesus of Nazareth.
"Teaching Jesus in the temple, he said:
How do the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?"
Mark 12. 35
Today we should personalize this question like this: How does Alfonso say
that the Christ is the son of David? And the answer to understand it happens
because we spend a lot of time in the presence of God and through his Holy
Spirit, he gives us enough knowledge to recognize that all the promises of the
OT were fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we can be completely convinced
that the works that he did, and that the NT affirms, are true. Let us live with
wisdom that comes from above and give glory to God and show that the Mind of
Christ acts, lives and moulds in each of our lives.
