GIVE WHAT YOU HAVE
We get lost in the strategies and activities of the blessing of simply
giving what we have.
WHEN he was a child he considered that he needed to be young in order to serve
God. When I left home, my priorities changed and I thought that when I finished
college it would be the right time to dedicate myself to the service of the
Church. When I got married, I had to sustain my marriage and with the arrival
of the children, my vision changed, added to all this, the working hours were
very intense, so I questioned the possibility of serving others in my retirement.
Now I am retired, I have neither time nor strength for anything other than to
sustain my soul and unfortunately doing self-criticism I consider all the time
that I have wasted looking for the appropriate strategy to serve God, the
Church and therefore others. And now that adage that says: "time is worth
gold" makes sense. And I, as a fool, have missed thousands of
opportunities in my life. To how many souls could I have presented the gospel
of salvation if I were not entertained in my ramblings? How many human beings
could I have helped if I wasn't just looking at my navel?
“As Jesus sat in front of the ark of the
offering, he watchedu as the people put money into the ark; and many rich people
put in a lot."
Mark 12. 41
Today the church is full of activists and
followers of her activities, but few are committed. Today there are many who
make great demonstrations of serving; However, they only do it for appearance,
because their hearts are more entertained by what others will say than in
serving from a sincere heart. Many are those who flaunt their ecclesial titles
to be glorified by men, instead of seeking to please God with their actions and
sayings. But let's remember who is in front of each of our actions and words.
Jesus Christ observes not only the physical but also the spiritual in
everything we do and say.
"And a poor widow came, and she cast two blanks, that is, a quadrant."
Mark 12. 42
The good thing about all this is that God is
waiting for us with open arms so that we can give him our whole lives with a
sincere heart. It's not about the quantity but the sincerity with which we do
it. It is not about eloquence but about the power of the Holy Spirit working in
each one of us. It is, then, that we act in the same way that Jesus of Nazareth
did, who gave himself for all humanity and publicly exposed himself, giving
every last drop of his essence so that we today enjoy salvation. Let Us seize
this precious opportunity and get to know Christ in a genuine and real way.
God bless you.
