CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL - SECOND WARNING

CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL

 SECOND WARNING

The fact that God tells us the things that are going to happen does not mean that he will tell us even the smallest detail.

AS  we read the Scriptures we began to analyse that God was speaking of the general plan of his plan or project. Let us see that he said to Noah: God said to Noah: I have decided the end of all being, because the earth is full of violence because of them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make yourself a gopher wood ark; you shall make rooms in the ark, and you shall caulk it inside and out with pitch. And this is the way you will do it. When God spoke to Noah, he did it specifically for the artifact that he was to build, but the how and when of the flood, he did not tell him anything. This is what happened to Jeremiah: So the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I sanctified you, I gave you a prophet to the nations. In the case of my calling, I remember that it was a Sunday and God used a pastor and told me: get ready, a multitude of young people I will give you, among the nations I will take you. At that time and for many years it was an emotion and an enthusiasm to know when that day God would do it. But I see that he did not say when, how, with whom, or where. I simply believed him and because of that, I am where he has brought me and I am working with those that God wants me to work with. When Jesus of Nazareth warned Peter that he would be shaken by his adversary, he did not give further explanations but would be denied by him, up to three times and before dawn.

"AND THE MAID, SEEING HIM AGAIN, STARTED SAYING TO THOSE WHO WERE THERE: THIS IS THEIRS."

Mark 14. 69

The second warning we would have to take it in the following way: once God has spoken, warned or called us, we have to be prepared for when God says: "now". So let us be sure that if God called us, he will fulfil his promises with each one of us. If God gave us an order, he will carry it out yes or yes. In the Bible, we can reflect and see all the examples as in the case of Gideon: And the angel of God appeared to him and said: God is with you, strong and courageous man. And God used Gideon heavily. This is Peter's second denial of belief towards his Master, but this is not the end of the Apostle, far from it. The grace, mercy and love of God acts at all times; Let us remember what was said by the Prophet: The great love of the Lord never ends, and his compassion never runs out. Every morning his goodness is renewed; How great is his fidelity! And if God raised Peter up, why wouldn't He do it to each of us?

“BUT HE DENIED AGAIN. AND SHORTLY AFTER, THOSE WHO WERE THERE SAID AGAIN TO PEDRO: TRULY YOU ARE THEIRS; BECAUSE YOU ARE GALILEO, AND YOUR WAY OF SPEAKING IS SIMILAR TO THEIRS."

Mark 14. 68

Being Christian does not mean that we are perfect, much less that we walk a foot above ordinary people for our holiness. Just as Peter failed, so will we. But we know that we have a God of second and third chances. Let us bear in mind what God said to the Prophet: Why was there no one when I came, and when I called there was no one to answer? Is my hand so short that it cannot rescue, or have I no power to deliver? Behold, with my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a desert; their fish stink from lack of water, they die of thirst. God is the one who does what is possible and takes us to places never imagined.

God bless you.
