ANOTHER ATROCITY
There is no worse blind than the one who does not want to see.
ONE of the most terrible paradigms of humanity is the acceptance of human atrocities. We can observe it in World War II and how a whole society incorporated genocide in a systematic way of all those they considered undesirable. We are talking about Jews, Christians, homosexuals, gypsies, dissidents, but we must also consider the military authors of that conflict themselves; it is considered that there were sixty million victims in that war. In our society, we have victims of our own system and of course, we are not executing them in gas chambers, but we are not giving them the support they need, we are turning our backs on them.
"NOW, ON THE DAY OF THE HOLIDAY, A PRISONER WOULD RELEASE THEM, ANYONE WHO REQUESTED."

We continue in the trial of Jesus of Nazareth and, as we have already seen, apart from being plagued with irregularities, now we will see one more atrocity. It was a custom to release a prisoner at those parties. Of course, one would expect the innocent to be released. However, just as we would act today, they will choose the style that an evil mind would do. Today there are many who need to be released such as drug addicts and alcoholics, but there are also discriminated foreigners, women who suffer sexist violence, people who suffer racial, ethnic or cultural violence and many more that I cannot list.
"AND THERE WAS ONE CALLED BARRABÁS, A PRISONER WITH HIS COMPANIONS IN THE RIOT WHO HAD COMMITTED HOMICIDE IN A REVOLT."

Barrabas, became a pseudo protagonist of this trial for emulating the perversity of the human mind. Reality passes in front of us when with our acts of injustice, we allow the innocent to be the one to pay for the fault of the guilty. Like when we make a false judgment or raise a slander against one of our brothers - in the figurative sense - causing him to fall from grace. What we have to do now is, repent and believe in the one who with extreme silence, took charge of paying for all our faults. Let us no longer do the Barrabas and follow the Path that Christ marked for us.
