Envy is better aroused than feeling it, popular sarcasm.
A few days ago I had a strong upset with one of my co-workers. My level of English is sufficient to speak calmly and for my interlocutor to do it in the same way, but that is a lot to ask for some English speakers, especially due to the frustrating process of not having a fluent chat in English, which makes it impossible in some occasions that likewise, the work is easy because of those misunderstandings. But when I reflect on this episode in my life, I have been able to ask myself: to what extent was all this discomfort really caused by me? What really is the background to this situation? Is envy in the middle of all this chaos? And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, but he did not regard Cain or his offering. That is why Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry?" Why has your countenance fallen? If you do good, will you not be exalted? But if you don't do good, sin is at the door and will seduce you; but you must rule over him. We have lived this story of envy and chaos since the genesis of humanity and, of course, in the judgment of Jesus it will also be lived.

Even Pontius Pilate knew the evil intentions of the clergy of Jesus' day. There are no good intentions when you want to kill a righteous man. There is no desire to do good when we criticise, in any case, out of envy we move to rant about our brothers. It is in us, now that we can identify that we could be acting out of envy, breaking with the mental structures that have tied us for years.

Let us not follow the same attitude as the currents of this century. God redeemed us to act according to the Mind of Christ. Let us be free, because for that, Christ paid with his blood for the freedom of all humanity.
