CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL
DO NOT PANIC
The fear of winning stagnates us at the last moment.
I am hooked on a Netflix series called "F1 Drive to Survive." In this, the between the lines of this sport are presented, what happens behind the scenes, what happens with the Formula One drivers and their teams, their triumphs, their failures, their problems. Start this devotional with a trivial topic for many, but, as an F1 fan, I take advantage of everything, to convey God's message and how he deals with me, even with the most irreverent or simple things of the everyday. What I am learning from in this series is this: how could an expert driver, in an F1 sports car, with the record for the most races done, never have finished on the podium?
“AND WHEN THEY CAME INTO THE GRAVE, THEY SAW A YOUNG MAN SITTING ON THE RIGHT SIDE, COVERED IN A LONG WHITE CLOTHING; AND THEY WERE FRIGHTENED."

The fear of triumph or accepting the position that God has given us fills us with fear, therefore, it is difficult for us to live that life of blessing that we could have. I see it with those F1 drivers, but we can also read it by seeing the reaction of these women who wanted to honour Jesus. First they were stopped by considering who would move the tombstone for them. And now that they are in front of the miracle of the Resurrection of Christ and they have an angel in front of them, what they do is get scared and doubt the situation.
“BUT HE SAID TO THEM: DON'T BE AFRAID; YOU ARE LOOKING FOR JESUS NAZARENE, THE ONE WHO WAS CRUCIFIED; HE HAS RISEN, HE IS NOT HERE; LOOK AT THE PLACE WHERE THEY PUT HIM."

There are about six hundred and fifty promises that we have from God. All of them are full of blessings and of course, many of them are valid for our lives. They were before the fulfilment of the messianic promise and were not able to recognise and live it. We already have the victory in Christ Jesus, but it will depend on each one of us to live the promises and be on the podium of life, winning yes or yes to give God the glory for all that he has already given us and of course, for all that he will give us.
