SAD AND CRYING
Whoever lends to the poor lends to God.
IN the process of mourning people or things that we lose in life, several months can go by. As human beings, this is something we must do, because in mourning we say goodbye to what we were used to and loved, to make way for the new lifestyle that we must begin to live. Unfortunately, many people who, because they do not want to show their feelings, refuse to cry and show that moment of extreme pain and anguish all that they feel, not allowing mourning to take them away but rather, they decide to take an internal mourning that never ends, but what if it consumes them until they faint. The disciples of Jesus were still stunned by the death of the Master, when they had to wake up to the new reality that they had to live: The Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
"THUS HAVING JESUS RESURRECTED IN THE MORNING, ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, MARÍA MAGDALENA, FROM WHOM HE HAD CAST SEVEN DEMONS, FIRST APPEARED."
Mark 16. 9
It does not matter the process that was accompanying us throughout life. Maybe it was a lifestyle full of drugs, alcohol, sex, theft, lies and I could go on the list, but once Jesus Christ is resurrected in our hearts, we are able to transmit the truth of the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, nothing from our past should stop us from bringing the good news of salvation to all humanity as Mary Magdalene did.
"As she went, he made it known to those who had been with him, that they were sad and crying."
Mark 16.10
Despite her past, she was used by God to bring faith and hope to all disciples who were devastated and overwhelmed. They were encouraged by Mary Magdalene, a useful instrument in the hands of God. And we, are we letting our past limit us? Are we bringing the good news of salvation to everyone who is depressed, distressed, and anxious in this society?
