CHRISTIAN DEVOTIONAL
IT IS ALSO FOR THE IRREVERENT
It is not only what we do but also how we do it.
IN some biblical versions, language is used such that instead of strengthening our lives, they raise doubts about the lifestyle we should live. For example wicked is a misused word but widely used in Christian jargon. When we have the opportunity to read text in the Greek, we find that asebes actually means irreverent. When we say that the wicked are far from God, we usually do so with a double connotation, pretending to imply that God is also far from them. But for those irreverent Christ also died, rose and justified.
“AND HOPE IS NOT SHAME; FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN SPREAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT WAS GIVEN TO US.”
Romans 5: 5
The Gospel of Christ brings us closer to understanding what it is to live from glory to glory. The Gospel of Christ gives us constant hope of what is to come. The Gospel of Christ is poured into our hearts through his Holy Spirit and above all, the Gospel of Christ is available to all those who humbly give themselves to him and accept him as the saviour of their lives.
“FOR CHRIST, WHEN WE WERE STILL WEAK, IN HIS TIME DIED FOR THE WICKED. (IRREVERENT).”
Romans 5: 6
Therefore, every time we try to disqualify a human being for not having Christ in his heart, let us be very careful, because for those irreverent he died. The Gospel of Christ is within the reach of all human beings, so let us not be stumbling blocks and bring the Good News of Salvation to all humanity.
God bless you.
