WHO AGAINST US?

In spiritual warfare, our adversary is already defeated.

ONE of the greatest distractions that the adversary achieves in us is convincing us that he still has power. These days, I watched a video of a guru interview that made me understand better what it means that circumstances should not dominate us, as Jesus Christ taught us. This individual was asked if he never got angry, to which he replied: when someone comes to provoke me, I just don't let this person steal what I already have. If I have peace, I keep it and don't worry about his false offences. I never allow anyone to haunt my thoughts and therefore there is no room for rancour in my mind. When I am in a time of economic scarcity, I enjoy what I have within my reach and I am grateful for what I have had and for everything that will come. Thus, I manage to live in peace within myself and nothing external can take away what has already been given to me. And these thoughts, those said by the guru, should be perfected by all of us who say we have God in our hearts and that God dominates our thoughts, because we have the Mind of Christ. Ey, I the first.

“WHAT THEN SHALL WE SAY TO THIS? IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO IS AGAINST US?”

Romans 8.31

When we accept the Gospel of Christ, everything that the Kingdom of Heaven implies comes to live or dwell in us. And, the acceptance of being a child of God in the breadth of rights is incredibly wide. Let us remember that God is the creator of everything that exists and in his sovereignty, he could determine to abandon the human being just as humanity turned its back on the creator; instead, God continued to believe in his relationship with the Jewel of his creation and set himself the goal of regaining what already belonged to him.

“HE WHO DID NOT SPARE HIS OWN SON FROM HIM, BUT GIVEN HIM UP FOR US ALL, HOW SHALL HE NOT ALSO GIVE US ALL THINGS WITH HIM?”

Romans 8.32

We already have all the things! God fights for us! Perhaps, are we going to need something more than the love, mercy, goodness and companionship of God? On the same path, will we need more than the eternal life that Jesus of Nazareth gave us on the Cross of Calvary? So why do we allow the adversary to rob us of the peace, faith and love that God has already given us?
