RESISTING GOD

There is nothing more useless than opposing God.

ON a certain occasion the father of a friend passed away. For a long time “Paco” was fighting against lung cancer, but in the end, he found healing by going to the presence of God. I remember that she, she took a totally indifferent attitude towards God and blamed God for the death of her father. She was so angry that she stopped pronouncing the Name of God and began to call him in a pejorative way "that man". All because she did not physically heal "Paco." The problem arises when, as human beings, we believe we are superior to God and we give him orders in the middle of our prayers. But, God does not have to answer our prayers regarding our pleasure and desire. God will always answer our prayers, according to his Holy will and according to his purposes in his glory.

“LET EVERY PERSON SUBMIT TO THE SUPERIOR AUTHORITIES; BECAUSE THERE IS NO AUTHORITY EXCEPT FROM GOD, AND THOSE THAT ARE, HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED BY GOD.”

Romans 13.1

Let us pray together: Daddy God, you know that we have a rebellious heart and it is very difficult for us to submit to the authorities. Put your faith in each one of us so that we can show that Christ lives in our hearts and governs us, because your Son Jesus Christ was always obeying your commands, until death itself.

Around us, there are countless authorities. Therefore, we have to be very careful with what we do and say. For example, it is very easy to say: “I am not going to follow this national law”. But if we stop doing it, it is most likely that we will receive a complaint and we could even try jail and the violation of it is very serious. God is the one who puts all the authorities that govern us. Now, those authorities, whether they know God or not, will be responsible before him for the acts of injustice they commit. Therefore, it is important to be praying for the authorities that govern us, so that they do all kinds of acts that dignify the human being.

 

“THUS, WHOEVER OPPOSES THE AUTHORITY, RESISTS WHAT IS ESTABLISHED BY GOD; AND THEY THAT RESIST BRING DAMNATION ON THEMSELVES.”

Romans 13.2

Let us pray together: Father, the first authority we must submit to is yours. God, it is very difficult for us to follow all your ordinances, but we help to be faithful to you and thus, be a living testimony that Christ lives in each one of us.

The sad thing is, every day we see how rebellion against the authorities grows. From the simplest how the children of this generation who are uncontrollable. Being able to get along with co-workers at work is very difficult. Respecting the presidents, deputies, congressmen, is impossible every time. But, as people who follow God and his teachings, we must respect all the authorities we have, because they were placed by God himself and, now we know that opposing these authorities is directly resisting God.
