THIS IS IN OUR MIND

We maintain a permanent fight against our thoughts.

I have to be very honest, the subject of sports is the pending task that I will always have. However, I usually do physical exercises at least three times a week. I usually ride my bike everywhere I can and occasionally go to the gym. There is a world competition that I admire that I will never manage to do: “IronMan Race”. This extreme cart makes the traditional triathlon much more rigid and competitive. Selections are made at the local level, then regional, obviously the national ones, to finally reach the world competitions. You don't need to be in the national federation, just be an athlete, either amateur or professional, and want to do it. This series of obstacles is overcome first in the mind, in order to reach the physical state that is required to compete. I'm not talking about winning it, just attending and finishing the race that lasts about 17 hours for the newer ones. But as I stated, I will never participate in the IronMan Race, simply because I am not willing to fight in my mind to attend said sporting event, because the physical, emotional and spiritual exhaustion is tremendously devastating for me.

“THEREFORE, LET US STOP JUDGING EACH OTHER. RATHER, INTEND NOT TO PUT THUMBS UP OR OBSTACLES TO YOUR BROTHER.”

Romans 14.13

Let us pray together: God of glory and manifest, if you say that I can do it, it is because I can achieve it. Please, in the Name of your Son Jesus Christ, give me the strength and control to determine to do so.

However, life itself is an IronMan Race. Many are prepared to compete in it. But, many of us, we do not even manage to stay in that race in life. The obstacles that we have to overcome, for some it will be a mere jump, for others, it will be a great leap into the void, supposedly without any protection, and with the false concept that there is nothing to support us. The difficulty of this vital race in our lives is not to lose its objective, that is, to trust in all the promises given by God and to remain firm in the hope that the Holy Spirit gives us the necessary faith to reach the goal.

 

 

“I, ON MY PART, AM FULLY CONVINCED IN THE LORD JESUS ​​THAT THERE IS NOTHING UNCLEAN IN HIMSELF. IF SOMETHING IS IMPURE, IT IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO CONSIDER IT SO.”

Romans 14.14

Let us pray together: God, I now understand that all those difficulties that I have experienced have begun because I have considered that evil is possible in my life. Help me get rid of everything that keeps me away from you, and allow me to do your holy and perfect will.

Jesus of Nazareth gave his life as a perfect sacrifice so that you and I may be free from everything that binds us. These ties will be physical, spiritual and mental. So if Christ has already removed those obstacles in our lives, why do we allow the mental battle to be won by those little mounds that hold us back in life? Let us pray to God, so that he increases our faith, so that we trust in each of his promises and love the protection that it means to be a true child of God.
