WE ARE OF GOD

We are only stewards of God's grace.

THE concept we have of property is far from heavenly reasoning. Many people consider that life belongs to them, therefore, little or nothing consider having God for their decisions. I myself, during a good period of my life, did things without consulting God. This led me to live very unpleasant situations. All because in my religious conception, I considered that God should support me in all my actions, no matter how crazy they were or that I thought that these undertakings, ideas, situations were part of the divine plan. Only when I considered that the Gospel of Christ should be something more than attending a congregation, singing four songs in a service and giving my tithes, did I analyse that my thoughts, therefore, my way of acting, had to be transformed. Because at the end of the day, I belong to God, in the same way that we all belong to God.

“BECAUSE NONE OF US LIVES TO HIMSELF, NOR DIES TO HIMSELF.”

Romans 14.7

Let us pray together: Heavenly Father, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ to help me understand that I am only a steward of your grace. My God, nothing belongs to me. Everything I have is because you have had mercy on me.

Not even life belongs to us. We belong to God, and this must be a priority to understand in each one of us. As the Apostle says, our entire existence belongs to God. Therefore, we must do everything in our lives considering what God wants for us. With this, we will do the Holy and perfect will of him. The Gospel of Christ comes into our lives to help us change our thoughts and thus change our way of acting.

 

“IF WE LIVE, WE LIVE FOR THE LORD; AND IF WE DIE, TO THE LORD WE DIE. SO, WHETHER WE LIVE OR DIE, WE ARE THE LORD'S."

Romans 14.8

Let us pray together: Holy Spirit of God, I need you and I want you to help me reach the same stature as Christ. I acknowledge my sins and imperfections, but I also know that you are my comforter, guide and support in the most decisive moments. Please help me to internalise that I have nothing, but that even my life belongs to God.

The great heroes of faith such as: David, Solomon, Jacob, Isaac, Abraham, Rachel, Esther, Rebekah, Mary, understood that everything belongs to God, and obviously, his life was also God's property. But the best example we have is Jesus of Nazareth. Because from eternity, He did not value being God, but he became a man and gave his life in ransom for all humanity, making possible the reunion between human beings and God. Today we have the responsibility to teach others this truth and thus contribute to the extension of the Kingdom of Christ.
