MY ADVERSARY CRUSHED

Our fight is not against blood but against the Empire of darkness.

WHO is without sin, let him cast the first stone. This famous phrase of Jesus of Nazareth is the one I constantly repeat to myself when I judge any person. And it is that, no one is except from sin. The only human being who has walked without sin through life has been Jesus of Nazareth himself. Some sins are very obvious, others have to be analysed closely to see them and there are simply others, which we have learned to hide perfectly. One of those sins I am talking about is blaming others for all the bad things and all the bad things we do in life. However, we can be sure of something and blame someone or a system, it is the adversary and his kingdom of darkness. The Apostle Paul himself said: Because our fight is not against human beings, but against powers, against authorities, against powers that dominate this world of darkness, against evil spiritual forces in the heavenly regions. Therefore, put on the whole armour of God, so that when the evil day comes, you can stand firm to the end.

 

“BECAUSE YOUR OBEDIENCE HAS BECOME NOTORIOUS TO ALL, SO I AM JOYFUL IN YOU; BUT I WANT YOU TO BE WISE FOR GOOD, AND NAIVE FOR EVIL.”

Romans 16.19

Let us pray together: My Father, I have to be very sincere with you, it is very difficult for me to keep faith and be obedient to your concepts of life for me. That is why, on a daily basis, I have to present myself before your presence and come to terms with you. My God, thank you for erasing all my sins and for giving me the freedom to be your son.

I have never claimed to be a sinless person. My character constantly leads me to have social problems, like in my work and eventually with some people in the churches; this would be a notable sin of mine. Against some aspects of my life I no longer fight, I have given up, I have lost my faith in coming out victorious. This would probably be a sin to analyse because I haven't lost all my faith. However, following this same line, I have a couple of hidden sins, facing people, but I am very aware of them; before God I present myself with them, so that he gives me the strength not to fall for them every day.

“AND THE GOD OF PEACE WILL SHORTLY CRUSH SATAN UNDER YOUR FEET. THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS ​​CHRIST BE WITH YOU.”

Romans 16.20

Let us pray together: my God, I know that you defeated the adversary and the darkness on the Cross of Calvary. Therefore, I exalt you and again acknowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord, Saviour and Redeemer. Thank you for leaving your Holy Spirit to rule in my life.

Today we can be certain that one day the adversary and the kingdom of darkness will be crushed. There is a concept that I want to emphasise, today the adversary and the kingdom of darkness have power and authority because Jesus Christ publicly exposed them on the Cross of Calvary. Unfortunately, we see many people subjected by the adversary and the darkness, because the fear of death, of guilt, anchors them. In the same way, guilt, shame, lack of trust in God distances them from God's grace, mercy and forgiveness, making the adversary and darkness strong in them.
