VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE

The people around us are worth gold before God.

A very short time ago, I was reflecting before God, about why I should love people? I subtly heard a little voice that reminded me: Alfonso, how much effort do you take and take care of your children? How much love do you have for them? Don't you pray for them every day? Obviously, I had to answer honestly, because I'm supposed to be talking to God; Yes, I pray for them every day and I take great care of them, of course, I don't want anything bad to happen to them. And again, that voice told me: if you, being a person who has a limited love, take care of them with so much love and excellence and pray to me every day crying out for their care and salvation, can't you consider that I want that all humanity manage to believe in me so much that they become my children? Have I stopped loving my creation and humanity? Because for God, all people have a lot of importance.

Let us pray together: Beloved Father, I must admit that I am not able to love humanity in the way that you want me to. I beg you to allow your Holy Spirit to transform my mentality and achieve the stature of the Mind of Christ.

It seems that this detailed list of people of great importance is not finished, both for the Apostle and, of course, for God. I would like to stress the importance of being welcoming people. The author of Hebrews says: Do not forget to practice hospitality, because thanks to it some unknowingly hosted angels. How blessed would Gayo's life have been, knowing that he hosted the Apostle Paul? In the same way, another reflection that I make is about reaching out with the Gospel of Christ to politicians and people who are in a position of pre-eminence. In these verses we read that the municipal councilour of the Treasury was a believer in God. If in the times of the primitive Church, even kings as decisive as Constantine converted to Christianity, will we not have to reach all social spheres, obviously including politics, with the Gospel of Christ?

Let us pray together: my God, may your grace be with us all.

And it is that, precisely, we must claim to have the grace, love and passion that God has for all humanity to achieve the evangelisation of the entire Earth. All human beings with people of great importance to God, let us not discard anyone, because all God, in his divine plan, gave up the life of his Son Jesus Christ to save all humanity.
