WE ARE YOUR WITNESSES

Being a Christian is a difficult decision.

Being a Christian is a natural rebellion.

BEING a Christian is not synonymous with walking a span above the street, as if levitated by the holiness that one lives. In other words, being a Christian means that we are imperfect. Still, despite not being superheroes, we fight and work to help other people who are in the same situation as us to overcome their problems through our experiences through Jesus of Nazareth, the author of life, the Son of God who is God himself made human. Today society is more confused than ever, because, as the Apostle Paul said: in which you walked in another time, following the current of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now operates in the children of disobedience, among whom all of us once lived in the desires of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the thoughts, and we were by nature children of wrath, the same as the rest; and it is that this current of this world (say superfluous fashions and trends that mobilise and cauterise the thoughts of all humanity) is more latent than ever.

“THEY REJECTED THE HOLY AND JUST, AND ASKED FOR A MURDERER TO BE PARDONED.”

Acts 3, 14.

Let us pray together: Father God, I cannot deny that if it were not for your grace and your love, I do not know what would become of me at this time. Therefore, I praise you, exalt you and bless you. In the name of Christ.

So, how can we be sure that Jesus of Nazareth is the Holy and Just One of whom this text speaks, knowing that the events that occurred by him occurred more than two thousand years ago? And the only possible answer I have to give is that the one who witnessed the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, he is still present in our midst. Now, a second point that concerns us today is, if this witness asserts the facts of Jesus of Nazareth, why do we still reject Christ after so many centuries of his sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary every time we sin? And do we not seek to do the will of the Heavenly Father?

 

“THE AUTHOR OF LIFE WAS KILLED, BUT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, AND WE ARE WITNESSES OF THAT.”

Acts 3, 15

Let us pray together: Jesus of Nazareth, forgive me for every time he rejected You for sinning and not doing Your Holy Will. I wish to reach the same height and thus demonstrate your love and truth to humanity.

This text says that God raised Jesus from the dead. He, in turn, Jesus Christ, left us his Holy Spirit and it is precisely the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus of Nazareth from the dead and the Holy Spirit has testified to us that all the events in the life of Jesus of Nazareth occurred from the way in which the Gospels and the book of Acts have narrated it to us. Today being a rebel means going against what society asks and demands of us. Today being rebellious means being away from drugs and alcohol. Today being a rebel means not playing with our sexuality (saying no to adultery, no homosexuality, no sexual relations outside of marriage) it will turn out that Alice Cooper (famous shock rock singer-songwriter) as a prophet in an interview for the British newspaper The Asked by the Sunday Times in 2001 how a rebellious rocker could be a Christian, Alice Cooper replied: "Drinking beer is easy. Vandalising a hotel room is easy. But being a Christian, that's hard. That's a real rebellion!”
